On Monday, March 17, we were able to witness Pack News Reporter, Anna Seriot, perform two of her original songs for Alliance Française of New Orleans. Her singing allowed for many people to connect with French influenced music.
“When I was 10 years old, with my dad we went to this musical in France,” Anna said “And I had this thing on my mind where I knew that I wanted to be on stage, sing, perform,
dance”
One of the key factors to their organization is embracing cultural diversity, as it is a major part of the city’s French backgrounds. “I had a switch on my style of musics, before it was pretty calm and pretty french style” she said,
“And with desire, which is an English song, just the music changed and it’s a little bit more commercial, disco vibes and I just love this new type of music that I am doing.”
Anna has received national recognition for her songwriting work. “I won the national songwriter contest of France when I was 14 years old,” she said “And it was at the Palais des Glaces which is kind of a huge scene that we have in France, that is in Paris.”
